So, you may not have heard. The Steampunk With a Twist Convention has been moved to March 14th and 15th. Unfortunately, that means I will not be able to attend.
AnomalyCon, March 27-29, 2015, is one of my favorite cons, but unfortunately, it looks as though I will miss that one this time, too.
I will still be at MileHi Con Oct. 24, 25, 26. In fact, if you are an aspiring writer, you might want to take note of this. We are working on putting together a panel that will be called something along the lines of “So you want to be in an anthology…” (I have a tentative schedule time of 11-12:30 on Saturday in Mesa Verde B, but please be aware, all con schedules are subject to change until the con is over!)
The idea of this is to put together an anthology (proceeds to go to charity TBD). In order to get accepted into the anthology, you must attend the panel! And attendance is no guarantee of acceptance!
Basically, if you have been trying to get into an anthology somewhere, this is your big chance. You will still have to write a good story, you will still have to face the editor, and you will still have to beat out the other stories submitted, but, for once, the pool is closed for adult swim, and you can do your thing without kids hitting you in the face with a Nerf football.
Final details are still being hashed out, so I won’t list them now and get called out when they change, but keep it in mind.
Also, there seems to be a good chance that I will be attending Geek-O-Nomicon 2014 in Biloxi, Mississippi December 12th – 14th. That would be a lot of fun!
