This was originally intended as a submission for, of course, a purple unicorn anthology. It didn’t get accepted (and I wasn’t surprised as it is… unusual.) You can read more about the anthology here.
The story is written as a transcript, detailing the author’s unremembered encounter with a purple unicorn and a gnome.
